Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler with at least one year of experience in mechanical assembly within an electronic or mechanical manufacturing environment. This role is a 6-month contract-to-hire position, requiring full-time commitment on the first shift, Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Candidates must be able to pass a drug test.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand assembly drawings.

• Assemble and build mail automation equipment.

• Use both hand and power tools to assemble equipment.

• Work independently and collaboratively within a team, depending on the project.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read assembly drawings.

• Recognize mechanical parts such as pulleys, bearings, springs, and gears.

• Identify hardware including screws, bolts, nuts, washers, and snap rings.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience using both hand and power tools is strongly preferred.

• Dependability, organization, mechanical skills, and detail orientation are crucial.

Work Environment

The position is based in a manufacturing environment with air conditioning. Employees work within a collaborative and supportive team, and there is potential for overtime, including weekends, as required by production needs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plano, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
