We are initiating a national search for the position of Nurse Manager Surgery at our hospital.
Reporting to the Director, Peri-operative Services, the incumbent will provide overall direction for a dynamic Surgery and Sterile Processing Department with 24-hour accountability and budgetary responsibility.
Additionally, the incumbent will collaborate with system and entity teams regarding improvement, care delivery, educational services, and other staff to develop, establish, and maintain policies, procedures, and practices that result in a safe environment in which to work and provide optimal care to patients.
This position requires an individual who will champion and work with entity management staff, employees, physicians, and others to advance the development of our culture – Individuals Caring for Individuals Together. This activity should include awareness and active support of the culture initiative.
The Nurse Manager must also demonstrate a clear understanding of the department’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats and pursue initiatives and strategies to achieve a competitive advantage, while actively acknowledging the faith-based foundations on which we are built.
QualificationsRequired:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or in active pursuit of BSN, through an accredited college or university
- Licensed RN to practice in the State of Texas
- A minimum of 5 years clinical practice in an Operating Room
- Minimum 2 years Operating Room Manager Experience required and must be recent
- BLS certification
Preferred:
- MSN
- 5 years of Operating Room Manager Experience
- Monday - Friday
- Day Shift
- 40 Hours Per Week
