As a CNA at Acute Rehabilitation Hospital of Plano, you will work a 12-hour shift, providing patients with personal care, assisting the nursing staff, and delivering exceptional service as part of a multidisciplinary team recognized for their achievements and contributions.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care to patients in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort consistent with hospital policy.
  • Promote and support the greatest possible degree of independence for patients.
  • Advise nurses of patients’ status throughout the shift.
  • Contribute knowledge of patients’ condition/needs to the patient’s care plan.
  • Assist in the implementation of care plans as directed within the parameters of established policy and procedure.
  • Observe and report on patients’ condition, and document observations as required.
  • Comply with procedures for safe lifting and/or safe transfer of patients per established policies and procedures.
  • Perform moderate to heavy lifting.
  • Ensure equipment is clean and functional.
  • Perform incidental housekeeping or maintenance tasks as required to maintain a hazard‑free environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
CNA Requirements
  • State certification as a nursing assistant.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Complete familiarity with the duties of a certified nursing assistant.
  • Highly developed observation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
