2 CUB Unit in a fast-paced environment with high-acuity patients. Our leadership fosters learning, mentoring, and growth for every team member.

As a Registered Nurse, oversee patient care using a professional practice model. Responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses. Follow the Texas Nursing Practice Act and delegate tasks based on condition and team competencies.

• Shift/Schedule – Full Time, Nights. 3x12 shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM.
• Requirement – Requires a minimum of 2 years CVICU or CVPCU RN experience.
• Location – Baylor Scott & White Health, Heart Hospital - Plano (2 CUB Unit)

• Patient population:
  Cardiac and Vascular (CHF, immediate post-op heart bypass and valves). Cardiac Universal Bed model:
  Telemetry, PCU, ICU and CV patients.
• Patient ratios: 1:4 (Tele), 1:3 (PCU), 1:2 (ICU), 1:1 (Immediate post-op) or unstable ICY patients on specialized devices.
• Number of beds: 20
• Department specifics:
  Skills leveling; care for ICU devices (Impella, IABP, CRRT, EKOS, lumbar drain); world-renowned surgeons; magnet hospital; active Unit-Based Council.

Note:

• Graduate of an Accredited Program
• 2 years RN experience in CVICU or CVPCU
• Specialized field of study should be nursing
• RN license
• Must have BLS certification or obtain it within 30 days of starting in this role
