As the RN House Supervisor at Acute Rehabilitation Hospital of Plano, you will manage and coordinate nursing activities for the scheduled shift, ensuring safe and therapeutic patient care.

• Manage guidance and counseling activities for staff during the shift.
• Coordinate nursing care and execute hospital policies.
• Review nursing staffing patterns, attendance, and adjust daily staff schedule.
• Assist in interpreting hospital policy and state law related to nursing service.
• Participate in hospital safety procedures and programs.
• Evaluate and recommend changes in nursing service records.
• Inform the Chief Clinical Officer or Nurse Manager of nursing activities, needs, problems, and unusual events.
• Recommend the purchase of supplies and equipment required for the nursing service.
• Conduct routine nursing service checks on staff, timecards, equipment, materials, supplies, etc.
• Recommend to the Chief Clinical Officer to hire, promote, suspend, and terminate nursing service employees.
• Maintain and assist in orientation programs for new employees.
• Investigate and report complaints.
• Enforce and audit staff on infection control procedures.
• Demonstrate high level of nursing skill and leadership ability.
• Good communication skills and understanding of hospital policy.

• Registered nurse (RN) required.
• Current ASL CPR Certification required.
• A minimum of two years of experience in nursing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
