Work hours : PRN Days 7:00am - 7:00pm, 3 shifts per 6 week schedule required
Antepartum Department highlights20 bed High‑Risk OB unit
- Provide care for and monitoring of patients in Antepartum High‑Risk OB, GYN surgery, all female surgeries, and postpartum moms with babies in the Level IV NICU
- Responsible for 24‑hour care of non‑laboring Antepartum and GYN patients
Diploma in Nursing or Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required
BSN preferred
Other CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required
One‑year experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program.
One year of Antepartum experience strongly preferred.
One year of Labor & Delivery experience strongly preferred.
RN Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
BCLS Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care, maintained quarterly.
NRP Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days required.
ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days required.
IFM Intermediate Fetal Monitoring upon hire preferred.
CPI Crisis Prevention Intervention training maintained annually within 90 days required.
What You Will Do- Assess the patient
- Plan the care of the patient
- Intervene as appropriate
- Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporate age‑specific safety / infection control measures into patient care.
- Initiate action to meet patient and/or significant others' need for information.
- Maintain continuity of patient care inter‑shift, inter‑hospital, and while expediting out‑of‑hospital transfers.
