RN Neurology – MEDICAL CITY DALLAS
Location:
Dallas, TX
Job Summary: As a Registered Nurse in the Neurology department, you will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in line with state standards and departmental guidelines. You’ll collaborate with medical providers and the care team, providing comprehensive, compassionate care and acting as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers.
- Assess patients during admission and through each scheduled shift, identifying and reporting status changes.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers; administer medications, monitor therapeutic response and intervene as needed.
- Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipate needs, and resolve issues.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow‑up, translating complex terminology into understandable information.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing.
- If hired after 6/1/12, BSN required within 24 months of hire into an RN position.
- Minimum of 1 year of acute‑care hospital experience within the past three years.
- Experience in neuroscience preferred.
- Current RN license in the State of Texas or a compact license.
- Current AHA or ARC BLS provider.
