Nature of WorkConduct evaluations and inspections to ensure subcontractor performance and vendor products are to code and specifications. Review all submittals and drawings, conduct meetings as required and keep records of all quality control activities including inspection and tests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Develop understanding/working knowledge of company quality control program, company standards, procedures, codes, etc. required to perform assigned work.
- Conduct subcontractor, project and material inspections to ensure proper workmanship, as well as code/specification compliance.
- Assist in maintaining work performance records, inspection records and other related items; ensure correctness of all documents.
- Review subcontractor’s submittals, as‑built drawings, and operations and maintenance manuals.
- Schedule meetings as required with subcontractors, owners, etc.
- Assist in coordinating quality control inspection schedules with other department schedules.
- Review design documents for contract compliance.
- Provide training and technical support for required departments as needed.
- Exercise initiative or, as directed, perform additional duties to meet the needs of the organization.

Education- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college/university or equivalent experience.
- Entry level to five years or more of related work experience required.
- Responsible for own work only; expenses, and to a large extent results, are closely controlled by work procedures and standards.
- Number and similarity of guidelines requires use of independent judgment in locating and selecting the most appropriate guidelines or reference; some interpretation required.
- Physical demands for this position are heavy. Physical exertion such as long periods of standing; lifting of heavy items (50‑75 pounds), walking over rough, uneven or rocky surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, climbing or similar activities. The work may require specific but common physical characteristics and abilities such as above‑average agility and dexterity.
- Standard project site environment that may include machinery, parts and chemicals. May require protective gear.
