Meat Market Manager Metro East-Melissa, Rockwall, Forney, Frisco, Allen, Plano, McKinney, Las Colinas ,Murphy

As a Market Manager, you'll be responsible for the total operation of the Market Department including Customer and Partner relation, merchandising, and financial performance.

• Management:
  • Spends the majority of time using independent judgement in making employment-related and business decisions, or effectively recommending such decisions, including product and department related strategies, hiring, promoting, disciplining, suspending, discharging, rewarding, or otherwise engaging in resolving Partner-related matters.
  • Develops / trains future leaders in the School of Retail Management (SORM) and School of Retail Leadership (SORL)
  • Trains Partners on proper packaging, displaying / merchandising processes according to department SOPs
  • Responsible for planning, coordinating, and communicating the Corporate Merchandising and Marketing plan to the Store plan
  • Prepares work schedules, orders product, controls inventory, monitors department budget and payroll
  • Regularly performs Department Partner duties
• Sales / Analytics:
  • Achieves sales goals by preparing projections / forecasts, managing / reducing costs, and ensuring accuracy of invoices
  • Exhibits passion for product and customer service; drives customer engagement for department
  • Ensures in-stock conditions, wareroom / inventory control
• Food Safety / Sanitation:
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and H-E-B policy and standards for product food safety and sanitation
  • Maintains safety / sanitation standards of equipment, department, and throughout the work area

• Function in a fast-paced, retail environment
• Continuously stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, squat, reach overhead, and side to side throughout shift
• Regularly work in a cooler environment, and occasionally in an extreme cold environment
• Occasionally lift and carry 80-90 lbs
• Safely maneuver around moving mechanical parts
• Work extended hours and / or rotating schedules
