Following its acquisition by ASSA ABLOY, Biosite is expanding into new geographies and is recruiting a Regional Sales Manager for the US.
The role focuses on the construction market, implementing new business sales strategies and liaising directly with clients.
- Develop and implement sales strategies for the entire region.
- Forecast and report on sales activity within the region.
- Work closely with Managing and Commercial Directors to ensure product and commercial offerings support continued growth.
- Generate new business through various lead‑generation methods such as telephone prospecting, physical prospecting, and developing existing client relationships.
- Take full ownership of sales within the region and key account portfolio, promoting additional services and value‑added solutions.
- Manage the sales process from initial prospecting through order securing and ensure successful implementation, focusing on customer satisfaction and retention.
- Actively manage and develop the growth of product sales within the region.
- Effectively analyse, implement, and control opportunities within the region.
- Own account performance, ensuring retention, maximizing opportunities, meeting financial targets, and renegotiating renewals.
- Develop executive‑level relationships.
- Maintain a prospecting and lead‑generation database.
- Manage personal diary and time.
- Ensure sales targets are met and maximise opportunities while positively impacting the Biosite reputation.
- Work closely with the Sales and Marketing team on the development of sales assets, providing direct recommendations to the Commercial Director and Managing Director.
- Collaborate with new customers to build successful trading relationships.
- Develop your own customer network.
- Minimum five years of successful construction or key account experience with a thorough understanding of the sales/key account process.
- Proven track record of business development at all levels, especially in construction software or security solutions.
- Strong sales and presentation skills, including probing, listening, closing, and in‑depth investigation.
- Solid understanding of the business and its strategy, able to integrate this into daily activity and identify opportunities to maximise product sales across multiple sectors and applications.
- Experience developing and owning account plans, delivering against them, and managing bids or tenders.
- Commercially aware with a strong business orientation, able to articulate a compelling value proposition and understand cost structures.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, commercial, and analytical skills with a friendly, conscientious, and team‑orientated style.
- Highly personable relationship builder able to engage at all levels, including Directors, Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Buyers, and Procurement staff.
- Persuasive, creative, and self‑motivated, able to recognize opportunities and use initiative to convert them into sales.
- High numeracy, computer literacy, and strong proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and the proprietary SaaS product.
- Experience selling at both site and senior levels, with the ability to adapt to varied environments.
