Job Overview
Position:
Sales Account Manager I – Plano, TX.
Summary:
Strategic, customer‑facing role focused on protecting and growing our existing customer base. Central to the customer retention strategy, engaging customers throughout their renewal lifecycle and uncovering upsell/cross‑sell opportunities.
- Own the Renewal Process: manage the full renewal cycle, from initial communication to contract close.
- Identify Upsell and Cross‑Sell Opportunities: listen to customer needs and introduce additional products, services, or upgrades.
- Negotiate and Problem‑Solve: lead commercial discussions, including pricing negotiations, to secure renewals; address obstacles to ensure successful outcomes.
- Serve as a Customer Advocate: build relationships, act as a trusted advisor, and communicate customer needs and feedback to internal teams.
- 1‑4+ years experience in renewals, account management, or inside sales, preferably in a B2B, SaaS, or technology environment; proven track record of retaining and growing customer accounts.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to negotiate and persuade customers toward a positive outcome.
- Customer focus: commitment to satisfaction and building long‑term relationships that drive growth.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills to handle a high volume of tasks and deadlines.
- Technical proficiency: experience using Salesforce (or a similar CRM) is required.
- Proactive and self‑motivated, with the initiative to address customer needs and achieve targets.
- Team player: ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams for holistic customer success.
Base pay: $20.00/hr – $28.40/hr.
