Business Development Manager

Are you an experienced sales professional with a knack for technical sales and a passion for driving business growth? A prestigious client is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to join their team. This role offers a unique chance to leverage your expertise in a stimulating environment, where your skills will be recognised and rewarded.

The position is ideal for those with 5–10+ years of experience in technical sales, particularly within automation, engineering or related industrial solutions. An operations background is an added advantage, enhancing your ability to understand and address client needs comprehensively. (flexible on background if someone has the right tech sales / operations exp)

Responsibilities
  • Sell technical solutions and manage large, multi‑stakeholder sales cycles with a solutions‑focused sales approach.
  • Maintain strong verbal and written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Utilise CRM platforms and manage sales pipelines, forecasting, and customer engagement through digital tools.
  • Travel extensively—70% or more—including overnight and multi‑day trips via land or air, while managing responsibilities on the road.
  • Work with or sell into large enterprise organisations to navigate and influence complex decision‑making processes.
Qualifications
  • Proven ability to sell technical solutions and manage large sales cycles.
  • 5–10+ years of experience in technical sales within automation, engineering or related industrial solutions.
  • Background in operations is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms and digital sales tools.
