The Legacy Willow Bend is seeking an experienced security manager to join a team of professionals responsible for ensuring the security of The Legacy Senior Communities through the effective execution of established policies and procedures. The Security Team Manager will assist the Director of Security in security operations.
Security Responsibilities- Locks and unlocks doors on campus, as necessary.
- Monitors security cameras, gate entrances, fire alarm and emergency response system.
- Answers call boxes, identifies visitors, and opens electronic doors.
- Provides security at campus and building entrances through established protocols.
- Provides directions and information as needed.
- Provides security at designated events as required.

- Makes contact with unidentified people on campus.
- Patrols grounds and parking areas; observes employees and visitors to ensure a secure and safe environment.
- Writes incident reports, handles daily activities, answers phones and uses radio equipment.
- Responds appropriately to building and member emergencies.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Monitors the campus for environmental hazards, illegal activities, and vandalism; reports or takes corrective action as required by policy.
- Conducts interviews when necessary to gather information (in person/by phone).
- CPR/AED/Basic first aid trained; recommended but not required.
- Completes safety training: online/in‑house/off‑site.
- Reports security and/or general maintenance problems to the proper departments.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Assist with table top discussion.
- Assist with Fire Safety and Disaster Preparedness Evacuation Procedures.
- Assist with Security Operations Procedures.
- Train new team members.
- Create standard operating procedures for team members.
- Implement programs.
- Lead in presenting assigned security education classes.
- Meet with residents to address needs or concerns.
- Coordinate with concierges and the security team regarding resident work order requests.
- Address phone calls or visitors directed to office and/or meet with residents, guests, or other team members.
- Gather information from residents, family members, employees about suspicious activities or personal matters.
- Coordinate with Director of Safety & Security to issue security bulletins.
- Resolve security issues or concerns in a timely manner.
- Consult with Director of Safety & Security and other directors to assist in finding a resolution.
- Coordinate information as it pertains to security concerns for MOD, as needed.
- Special duties and special projects as assigned by Director of Safety and Security and other directors, including Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Health Care.
- Provide assistance to other departments as needed.
- Monitor fire alarm panel during shift and report issues to Director of Facilities.
- Maintain and upload security information on Wellzesta.
- Coordinate with Human Resources to onboard team members with visitor management system.
- Provide vehicle form/decal, photo badge, fobs, access, and keys.
- Coordinate with Marketing for resident move‑in, Assisted Living and Independent Living: pendants, fobs, access, and keys.
- Coordinate completion of reports and document data to be shared.
- Create security alerts for visitor management systems.
- Supervise security team to perform security duties in assigned areas, including Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Health Care.
- Coordinate with Director of Safety & Security on selection of security team.
- Manage orientation, training, scheduling, and counseling of security team.
- Assist Director of Safety & Security in coordinating regular in‑services as needed.
- Manage expenditures and coordinate equipment needs for security team.
- Place orders for items needed for security team.
- Create and maintain a motivating environment that encourages employee involvement, creativity, and problem solving.
- Supervise duty schedule for security team members on their tasks to complete.
- Supervise Relias trainings and other trainings to ensure they are completed in a timely manner.
- Supervise security contractors and vendors when needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Security supervisory experience and/or 3‑5 years of related professional experience preferred.
- Experience with a multi‑line phone system.
- Experience managing teams, preferred 3‑5 years.
- Experience with managing camera systems and access control software.
- Experience in a customer service environment and role, preferably in a senior living setting.
- Currently hold Level II Security License or able to obtain within first 60 days of employment.
