We provide service members with valuable civilian work experience through industry-specific training, certifications and on-the-job experience during their DoD Skill Bridge internship to help them ready themselves for their next mission.

Eligibility for DoD Skill Bridge job opportunities: Active U.S. military members with 180 days of service or fewer remaining prior to separation and at least 180 continuous days of active service.
Job DescriptionDevelops and administers security programs and procedures for classified, sensitive, or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. Researches and implements federal security regulations, maintaining knowledge and awareness of interdisciplinary compliance requirements (finance, cyber, information technology, and trade compliance). Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies. Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, retaining records, and access by personnel or visitors to restricted records and materials.
Conducts security education training and security audits. Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken. Collects, assimilates, and interprets intelligence information and disseminates to the appropriate stakeholder or investigating authority. Intermediate professional with practical knowledge of job area. Works under moderate supervision to set objectives for own job area. Communicates with contacts inside and outside own team to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures.
Identifies and addresses changes within own job area. Works to achieve operational targets with some impact on departmental results.
- Maintain security program policies to ensure ongoing compliance with 32 CFR, Part 117, IC, DoDM 5205.07 vol 1-4, and other requirements of all classified programs under purview.
- Prepare Security Operating Procedures (SOPs) outlining customer guidelines and establishing procedures for the handling, storage, and transportation of assigned assets.
- Conduct security related employee briefings to include indoctrination, debriefing, courier, closed area, program access, OPSEC, Insider Threat, derivative classification, foreign travel, and routine annual security trainings.
- Prepare and maintain System Fixed Facility Checklists (FFCs) in accordance with ICD 705.
- Implement DD-254 Security Guidance and ensure program compliance with contractual requirements.
- Analyze and investigate security incidents and violations; prepare internal and external customer reports.
