. In anticipation of acquiring a senior living community in Plano, TX, we seek an experienced professional who excels in customer service and multi‑family housing maintenance. As a Lead Maintenance Technician you will positively impact our community, ensuring a safe, well‑maintained and visibly appealing property for residents, guests and owners.
- Perform building and property maintenance tasks, including preventative maintenance, service requests, snow removal, grounds keeping, capital improvements and turn‑over maintenance.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date inventory of supplies.
- Respond to service requests with urgency, reporting status and completion of each task.
- Manage inventory and maintain cleanliness and order in the maintenance shop.
- Diagnose and perform maintenance tasks (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, drywall, painting, roofing, siding, doors/locks, glass/screen repairs, flooring, tile work, fencing).
- Execute all company safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Walk units before move‑in to ensure quality standards and walk units after move‑out to determine needed work.
- Deliver highest resident satisfaction through responsive, consistent, positive and professional interactions.
- Report updates and progress for the property to the Property Manager daily.
- Work a rotating on‑call schedule to provide 24/7 maintenance coverage.
- HVAC/EPA Certification.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in plumbing, electrical, appliance, mechanical, drywall repairs, carpentry and pool/spa maintenance.
- High school diploma or related vocational training and/or equivalent work experience.
- Experience operating trade equipment and tools (hand tools, power tools, riding equipment).
- Flexible schedule with paid on‑call hours.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Previous hotel, commercial and/or apartment maintenance experience.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Bending and twisting.
- Repetitive use of hands.
- Reaching above shoulder level.
- Pushing and/or pulling.
- Stability – We don’t buy and flip our properties every three years.
