Laser Field Technician

The candidate will run the field operation of a mobile laser cutting unit (MLCU) to sever wellheads during the P&A process. He/she must be able to demonstrate a track record of being creative, disciplined, and a self-starter. He/she must have an entrepreneurial approach to problem solving. Responsibilities will include driving/operating the laser cutting unit, and supervise support personnel during cutting operations, and maintenance of the MLCU.

• Running the laser system to cut wellheads
• Operating mechanical/electrical hand tools
• Operating shop & work-site equipment (drive company vehicles, operate service crane)
• Ability to diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs on work locations
• Supervise crew, manage safe work, and direct workflow for maximum efficiency
• Maintain all systems components of the MLCU

• Min 5 years’ oilfield experience (offshore or onshore)
• Wireline operation/technician/engineer is a plus to be considered for the role
• CDL Class A with Tanker & Hazmat Endorsement is preferred
• High degree of mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Ability to work within a team environment and excel in a fast-paced smaller company
