AWS Full Stack Software Engineer, Enterprise Supervision

Join the Enterprise Supervision team at Tyler Technologies as a Software Engineer! We’re looking for a passionate, skilled developer to help design and build scalable, event-driven applications using AWS-native services such as API Gateway,Event Bridge, Lambda, Step Functions, and SQS. In this role, you’ll play a key part in modernizing our solutions and delivering high-quality, secure software that empowers our clients and supports mission-critical outcomes

HYBRID WORK POLICY:
The candidate must come into the Plano, TX office at least 3 days per week.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable, high-performance applications using AWS-native event-driven services, including API Gateway, Event Bridge, Step Functions, Lambda, and SQS.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Maintain and enhance existing applications, resolving bugs and improving performance and security.
  • Develop RESTful APIs and ensure smooth integration across internal and external services.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with QA, Product, and Dev Ops teams in Agile development cycles.
  • Support CI/CD automation efforts and infrastructure-as-code using Cloud Formation or AWS SAM.
  • Write clean, maintainable code with strong documentation and testing practices.
  • Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience building SaaS or web-based applications.
  • Proven experience with AWS, particularly in event-driven architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization using Docker.
  • Strong working knowledge of MySQL or other relational databases.
  • Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with PHP using frameworks like Laravel or Symfony.
  • Familiarity with AWS SAM, Cloud Formation, or Terraform for infrastructure as code.
  • Knowledge of observability tools (e.g., Cloud Watch, X-Ray) in an AWS ecosystem.
