Role Overview This position supports the development and automation of governance capabilities across the External Networks portfolio. Working within Product Governance and Compliance, the successful candidate develops technical solutions that improve how governance requirements, data, evidence, controls, monitoring, and reporting are managed and delivered. The role combines automation, data, technical development, and technology governance to identify opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve governance execution through scripting, APIs, data integration, AI-assisted solutions, Infrastructure as Code, and other reusable technical capabilities.

Additionally, the engineer will contribute to the internal governance portal and partner with Product Managers, engineering teams, governance stakeholders, and other compliance functions to develop solutions that help standardize, simplify, automate, and scale governance across technology products.

Key Responsibilities Develop technical solutions and automation to improve the management of governance requirements, data, and reporting.

Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve governance execution through scripting, APIs, and data integration.

Utilize Infrastructure as Code and other reusable technical capabilities to scale governance across technology products.

Contribute to the development and maintenance of the internal governance portal.

Partner with Product Managers, engineering teams, and governance stakeholders to standardize and simplify compliance processes.

Translate business, technical, governance, or regulatory requirements into actionable technical specifications and automation solutions.

Support modern development practices, including requirements gathering, testing, documentation, source control, and code review.

Required Qualifications

Experience:

Python development, shell scripting, API development, or comparable technologies. Strong experience working with structured data, data integration, and automated data processing.

Technical

Skills:

Working knowledge of Splunk for data analysis, monitoring, reporting, or automation. Working knowledge of Git Hub, Infrastructure as Code, and technologies such as Terraform. Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools to support coding, analysis, automation, and documentation.

Education:

Academic background in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications Hands-on experience with Splunk search development, dashboards, reporting, or data integration.

Practical experience applying AI or Generative AI to software development, automation, data analysis, or governance.

Experience developing portals, dashboards, self-service capabilities, or other stakeholder-facing technical solutions.

Experience with Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Service Now, or comparable enterprise platforms.

Experience supporting governance, risk, compliance, cybersecurity, or regulatory requirements such as PCI DSS.Relevant cybersecurity, cloud, or AI certifications such as CISSP, AWS, or comparable credentials.
