Overview
The Secondary Teacher (grades 6-12) is responsible for the instruction of designated content area(s)/course(s) in a classroom setting within a secondary school. ELA @ Turkey Creek Middle.
We are a Transformation Network Site. Teachers:
Eligible. Transformation Network school teachers can earn up to $5,000 additional pay on top of their salaries with additional dollars awarded to teachers with Effective and Highly Effective VAM in FSA-tested courses and grade levels (minus fringe benefits), provided all eligibility requirements are met. HOST:
Instructional staff and paraprofessionals working in a Transformation Network School will receive a 50% HOST discount at any district HOST site during the 2025-26 school year.

Responsibilities- Design and implement appropriate instruction of content area(s)/course(s) assigned in accordance with state standards, district curriculum, and students’ needs.
- Create a positive educational climate for students to learn in an atmosphere of respect and rapport.
- Create and deliver relevant and rigorous lessons that maximize student engagement and achievement.
- Utilize a variety of teaching practices and methodologies that reflect diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds to meet individual student needs.
- Observe and evaluate student performance and mastery of standards, monitor assessment data, and maintain student grades and attendance.
- Manage student behavior using effective classroom management strategies and appropriate disciplinary procedures.
- Communicate with parents and school/district personnel regarding student progress and encourage parental involvement.
- Take all responsible precautions to provide for the health and safety of students and to protect equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Maintain confidential records, inquiries, and data; maintain appropriate certifications and professional development hours as required.
- Performs any other duties as assigned. Responsibilities may change as determined by district needs.

Project Management/Planning and Organizing:
Develops project plans, coordinates projects, communicates progress and changes; plans for resources; sets goals and objectives; works in an organized manner.

Florida Professional Educator Certificate preferred;
