Staff Accountant

Compensation: $70,000 – $80,000 annually (plus bonus potential)

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our Operating Partners Division. In this role, you will support the accounting and financial reporting functions for Exuma Capital Partners and its portfolio companies. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and thrives in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.

• Maintain accurate general ledger records and perform regular account reconciliations
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and monthly close activities
• Assist with financial statement preparation and management reporting
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking processes
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and intercompany accounts
• Process and monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies
• Collaborate with portfolio company accounting teams to standardize and improve processes
• Assist with audits, tax filings, and special financial projects as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience (public accounting or corporate environment preferred)
• Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency with accounting software (Quick Books, Net Suite, or similar)
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
