- Directs the maintenance programs and processes of the assigned plant to ensure timely and effective production.
- Coordinates with other management staff to ensure efficiency in preventative maintenance and new equipment installation.
- Oversees facilities design and inspection, equipment repair and installation.
- Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
- Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets
- Oversees, manages and directs all maintenance procedures and operations
- Ensures all machinery is up to working standards
- Assesses current maintenance work processes, to optimize efficiency
- Uses data analysis to help prepare for and prevent future problems
- Creates and implements measures to minimize breakdowns and repairs (performing quality checks of all machinery, tools, equipment etc.)
- Troubleshoots problem areas and creates a clear plan of action for fixing necessary parts
- Oversees repairs and trains new employees in maintenance work processes and procedures
- Creates a work environment with safety as a high priority
- Performs evaluations of employees to ensure quality of work
- Records and tracks daily progress/error reports
- Maintains vendor relationships and order new materials as needed
- Creates and adheres to maintenance budgets
- Enforces all health and safety rules and regulations according to state/federal laws and company protocol
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, administration or facility management
- Bilingual English-Spanish
- 5+ years' experience in manufacturing maintenance management role
- Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems
- Ability to keep track of and report on activity
- Experience in planning maintenance operations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with staff members
- Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making
