The RN Manager of the Emergency Department oversees all operational and clinical activities within the ED. The role collaborates with the Director of ED to achieve quality improvement, fiscal responsibility, and patient satisfaction goals while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and promoting teamwork with physicians and other healthcare providers.

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of the ED, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Assist the ED Director in planning, directing, and managing the department to meet quality service objectives.
• Ensure staff performance meets company, hospital, and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Maintain high‑quality patient care and act as liaison with patients, physicians, employees, and community agencies.
• Promote and enforce The Joint Commission Standards and internal policy compliance.
• Foster teamwork among physicians and all healthcare providers to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Utilize resources efficiently to maximize productivity and minimize cost.

• Current Florida Registered Nurse license (or recognized compact licensure).
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (required within 30 days of employment).
• Minimum 3 years of clinical ER nursing experience in an acute‑care setting.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a full‑time Charge Nurse, Coordinator, Nursing Administrative Supervisor, or Nursing Manager.
