Plattsburgh, NY: A progressive 300-bed community hospital on a lush 45-acre campus is expanding its orthopedic surgery team. Located in a welcoming city on sparkling Lake Champlain, across from Burlington, Vermont, this institution is part of the University of Vermont Health Network, serving 170,000 residents across the Champlain Valley. Top 100 Hospital for Cardiac Care. In addition to hosting a Family Medicine residency, Emergency Medicine residents and medical students complete clinical rotations on site.

They are ready to hire three fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons to join a growing team of four surgeons and five advanced practice providers. Each role includes a robust mix of general orthopedics and subspecialty practice, with state-of-the-art resources, experienced support, and academic affiliation.

Current Needs:

Adult Reconstruction Focus on hip and knee arthroplasty, with two surgical days and two clinic days weekly. Youll have access to modern ORs and experienced 1:1 APP support for both clinic and surgical time.

Foot & Ankle Surgery Practice on a collaborative team with full subspecialty and trauma coverage. Hand & Upper Extremity Surgery Provide advanced care and surgical solutions for a wide range of upper limb conditions including trauma, joint issues, and soft tissue injuries. Time is evenly split between clinic and surgical care.

Position Features:

Secure hospital-employed positions in an integrated academic health system

Convenient 4-day workweek with a balanced mix of OR and clinic time Rotations available with a 76-bed affiliate hospital located 1 hour west Trauma call is shared 1:5

EPIC EMR system is used throughout inpatient and outpatient settings
