Schedule
12-hour night shifts, with every other weekend required. Travelers must be available to work 2 out of the 3 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas/Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day/Eve).

Job Description
We are seeking qualified Registered Nurses for our Medical/Surgical Telemetry units. This position includes responsibilities in the float pool, specifically for units providing care to oncology, orthopedics, and urology patients. The essential duties involve monitoring patients, performing assessments, and delivering necessary interventions efficiently.
Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessments, interventions, and evaluations.

• Administer medications and therapies as prescribed.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Utilize electronic medical records (EPIC) for documentation and medication administration.

• Float between designated telemetry units as needed, including potential assignments in the Emergency Care Center (ECC) for ED HOLD patients.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a relevant specialty.

• BLS certification required; CMSRN certification preferred.

• NIHSS certification required prior to starting.

• New York nursing license or proof of application.
