American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care/Intermediate Care unit, requiring tele and ICU/critical care experience along with a NY RN license.

• Progressive Care unit within a hospital setting
• 12-hour night shift schedule, 36 hours per week
• Will float to ICU on occasion to meet staffing needs as part of a float team
• Minimum of every other weekend required, with schedule adjustments as needed
• Performs insulin drips, cardiac drips, IV starts, and post cardiac cath care

• Active NY RN license or proof of pending application required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (NIHSS required prior to start)
• Minimum of 1 year telemetry experience required
• Some ICU/critical care experience required
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required
• Reliable personal or rental vehicle required due to lack of public transportation in the area

• Provide intermediate/progressive level nursing care to a telemetry patient population
• Must work 2 of the following 3 holidays:
  Thanksgiving, Christmas/Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day/Eve
• No block scheduling permitted
• Bi-weekly orientation sessions required
• Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during November through April
• Local candidates accepted
