Outside Sales Representative - Railroad and Industrial Equipment

Superior Sales & Service is looking for an Outside Sales Representative to build and maintain customer relationships within the railroad, maintenance-of-way (MOW), contractor, municipal, and industrial markets. This role is focused on understanding customer needs and providing solutions that help keep projects moving and operations running efficiently. The successful candidate will work directly with customers to promote and sell our full range of products and services, including railroad tools, tool repair services, standard MOW equipment, and custom equipment solutions.

Travel is required, primarily throughout the Midwest, with opportunities to support customers nationwide.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Develop new business opportunities while growing existing accounts.
• Meet with customers at their facilities, job sites, and project locations.
• Identify customer challenges and recommend products, equipment, and service solutions.
• Promote and sell Superior's full product line.
• Generate and follow up on quotes, proposals, and sales opportunities.
• Work closely with inside sales, purchasing, and operations teams to ensure customer needs are met.
• Stay current on product offerings, vendor programs, and industry developments.
• Attend customer meetings, trade shows, industry events, and vendor training as needed.
• Maintain accurate customer and sales activity records.

• Previous outside sales, equipment sales, account management, or business development experience preferred.
• Experience selling equipment, tools, industrial products, railroad products, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, municipal equipment, or related products preferred.
• Experience working in the railroad, maintenance-of-way (MOW), construction, contractor, municipal markets is a plus.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to understand customer needs and recommend practical solutions.
• Self-motivated with strong organization, time management, and follow-through.
• Comfortable working independently and managing customer relationships.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and standard business software.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
