Role Summary

Department: Corporate/Administrative
Location: Pleasant Grove, UT
Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 / year

As a Staff Accountant, you will work with a forward‑thinking accounting team that provides a supportive environment while we push you to grow as an efficient, effective, and accurate Staff Accountant within a growing company requiring solid multi‑directional communication skills.

You must have a keen attention to detail and exceptional problem‑solving skills.

Unmatched Comp Time Policy: Hours worked over 40 in a week are paid at the usual hourly rate or can be banked as additional PTO.

Core Responsibilities
  • Review and approve employee expense reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies
  • Help employees understand expense guidelines and required documentation
  • Work with team members to correct or clarify expense submissions
  • Learn how expenses are categorized for internal reporting and compliance purposes
  • Keep clear records to support audits and internal reviews
  • Suggest improvements when you notice recurring questions or issues
  • Assist with month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing activities
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Assist team with process improvements
  • Other accounting related duties as assigned
  • Proficiency in MS Office, 10‑key by touch
  • Thorough understanding of general ledger accounting practices
  • Outstanding attention to detail, proactive follow‑up
  • Excellent organizational and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines and handle multiple complex tasks in a fast‑paced, changing environment
  • Professional appearance, written and verbal skills
  • Maintains confidentiality with sensitive information
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (or demonstrated proven equivalent experience)
  • 1–5 years of related work experience; engineering, construction, or architectural experience is highly preferred
  • Preference given to those with Deltek software experience, especially Vantagepoint
