Front Desk Receptionist - Recreation Center

Wage:$11.75/hour

Part-time, non-benefitted, non-exempt

This position is a year-round and part time. It requires a flexible work schedule that may include various shifts, such as: early mornings, midday, and evening shifts, Monday - Saturday. The ideal candidate would also have the flexibility to be a sub for other shifts. Open until filled. Contact Kate Vest with any questions at  x419.

• Greet all patrons
• Provide general information on recreation activities, programs and facilities
• Answer incoming phone calls and transferring to proper staff when necessary
• Take registrations and payments for recreation programs
• Fill out daily cash reports and balance cash receipts when needed
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the Recreation Center
• Attend staff planning, training and development meetings
• Communicate with other staff in order to successfully resolve issues and problems in a timely manner
• Other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma
• Skill in communicating effectively, both orally and in writing
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when required
• Good public relations skills
• This position may require use of personal or City vehicles on City business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid driver's license and have a good driving record.

• Experience working in an office setting in a recreation or community center setting preferred but not necessary.
