• Model exceptional customer service and engagement behaviors.

• Spend at least 90% of time on the customer approach side of the check lanes.
• Be an approachable, visible source of assistance to both customers and associates.
• Maintain self‑checkout and total front‑end queuing standards.
• Coach cashiers, courtesy clerks and self‑checkout attendants on engagement, checkout procedures, and best practices.
• Ensure till audits are performed.
• Supervise basket retrieval process.
• Maintain break schedules for front‑end associates.
• Offer carry‑outs to customers.
• Supervise cleanliness and safety conditions for front‑end and restrooms.
• Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports.
