Dan’s Overhead Doors & More, one of Iowa’s leading garage door companies, has an immediate need for a Commercial Technician at our Pleasant Hill, IA location.

In the role of Commercial Technician, you will assume a pivotal responsibility in the installation, maintenance, and repair of our full offering of commercial products, including garage doors, dock equipment, and more.

• Install commercial garage door products & related systems per manufacturer specifications and ensure customer satisfaction with completed work.
• Basic diagnostic and troubleshooting.
• Identify and repair mechanical & electrical failures.
• Perform preventive maintenance services.
• Maintain inventory on company truck and understand the proper use of all parts, tools, etc.
• Keep proper documentation & paperwork relating to work orders & projects.
• Maintain a safe, secure and healthy work environment at all times.

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• 2+ years’ experience in garage door service/installation or a similar skilled trade.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
• Must have an acceptable MVR to be added to our auto insurance policy.
• Must have dependable, reliable transportation to and from your base office location.

• OSHA 10, welding, first aid, and/or CPR certification(s)
• Basic knowledge of construction and hand tools
• Mechanical inclination
