POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the Accounting Clerk performs any combination of duties including accounts payable matching and entry, receiving, PO entry, accounts receivable invoicing, collections, and cash application. The Accounting Clerk would also support our finance team by assisting with additional department functions as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collect and match documents needed to enter invoices in accounts payable. Work with other departments to verify receipt of items.
  • Receive raw materials in accounting system timely.
  • Enter and send purchase orders as requested upon proper approval.
  • Assist in invoicing all revenue transactions accurately and timely.
  • Apply customer payments and follow up on past due accounts.
  • Assist with various month end duties.
  • Additional projects and tasks as needed.
EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE
  • Associate's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Must have strong Excel skills and ability to manage and analyze large amounts of data.
  • Hands‑on technology and analytical skills; experience in an ERP information system a plus.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, vendors, and other groups both inside and outside the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
