Description:
Senior BTTh
- Under the direction of the BCBA and the supervision of the Assistant Clinical Director, provide ABA services.
- Work effectively with all clients across locations with varying functioning levels, severity of behaviors, and acquisition rates.
- Supervise teams of behavior treatment technicians (BTTs) using ABA principles and BACB ethics.
- Build and maintain rapport with BTTs while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Assist Lead BCBA with conducting functional behavior assessments, using direct assessment data to write BIPs and functional replacement behavior goals based on hypothesized functions; train staff to implement.
- Monitor progress of maladaptive behaviors with regular review and oversight while overlapping BTTs and RBTs.
- Continually assess client skills and deficits using assessments such as VB-MAPP, AFLS, ABLLS-R, and Essentials for Living.
- Maintain client learning trees and session notes, including moving mastered targets, introducing new targets, writing goals, targets, instructional notes, and operational definitions.
- Identify prerequisite skills and write/implement corresponding programming.
- Use the model, try, feedback, method to train all staff on new targets during cross-training and when training new BTTs.
- Continuously assess and monitor BTT and RBT progress; create and implement corrective action plans as needed.
- Analyze program data to ensure appropriate progress and effectiveness.
- Consult with the Director of Training to ensure effective and efficient service delivery.
- Be receptive to feedback from supervisors and implement changes by the next overlap or as directed by the Director of Training.
- Provide 1:1 client session coverage if staff cancels or terminates (long-term absences).
- Write objective notes with updates and changes to treatment programs, scheduling, and observations.
- Update caregivers on program updates, incident reports, and staffing/scheduling changes.
- Work effectively with Sonnenberg administrative staff, school staff, and outside providers (OT, PT, speech).
- Collaborate with Lead BCBAs, Clinical Directors, and Director of Training on feedback about clinical processes, staff management, and HR policies.
- Consult with the Lead BCBA to ensure effective service delivery.
- Communicate effectively with parents, BTTs, teachers, supervisors, clinical supervisors, and clinical directors.
- Respond to emails, phone calls, and Central Reach messages within 24-48 business hours.
- Maintain schedules for supervision cases, including inputting and organizing staff schedules into CR with correct location and billing information; arrange coverage and problem-solve with the scheduler.
- Monitor parent involvement and client attendance; create and implement corrective action plans when needed.
- Distribute new information to BTTs regarding policies and procedures; ensure understanding and implementation.
- Be present at all POD meetings; lead team building and clinical PODS for BTTs.
- Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to BTTs to enhance staff development and skills.
- Maintain compliance with all ABA ethical guidelines, policies, regulations, and laws including confidentiality and HIPAA; complete mandated reporting regulations.
- Maintain professional boundaries with clients and families; represent Sonnenberg professionally.
- Have at least 2,000 hours of direct 1:1 in the field of ABA.
- Hold an RBT certification and be in good standing with the BACB.
- Professional proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish.
- Hold a minimum of a Bachelor s Degree.
- Must attend the Senior Intern Class in-person (no remote option).
- Be able and willing to work with all clients at each location across functioning levels with various deficits and strengths.
- Be able to identify MO and preference assessments across all clients within your caseload and with novel clients.
