We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Coordinator to join our Waukegan aerospace coatings manufacturing team.

In this role, you will coordinate domestic and international shipments, prepare accurate shipping and export documentation, and ensure products are shipped in compliance with customer requirements and applicable transportation regulations.

You will work closely with Warehouse, Customer Service, Planning, freight forwarders, and transportation providers to ensure shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys logistics, problem-solving, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment where accuracy and attention to detail are essential.

Competitive hourly pay: $29.00 to $31.00 per hour

Coordinate and process domestic and international shipments via ground, air, and ocean transportation.

Prepare, review, and verify shipping documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

Generate and maintain shipping documents, including Bills of Lading (BOL), packing lists, delivery notes, commercial invoices, and dangerous goods documentation.

Coordinate shipments with freight forwarders, transportation carriers, and internal warehouse teams.

Schedule incoming and outgoing material movements between the manufacturing facility and off-site warehouse locations.

Ensure shipping documentation is completed and submitted to carriers and freight forwarders within required timelines.

Monitor shipment processing and help resolve issues that could delay customer deliveries.

Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation in accordance with established procedures.

Prepare required export documentation for international shipments based on destination-country requirements.

Ensure shipping activities comply with applicable export regulations and transportation requirements.

Support the accurate documentation and processing of hazardous-material and dangerous-goods shipments.

Verify that required documentation is complete and accurate before shipments are released.

Identify and elevate potential export compliance, shipping, or documentation concerns.

Coordinate with appropriate internal departments and logistics partners to resolve international shipping issues.

Review shipping orders, pick tickets, and delivery documentation to verify product quantities and shipment accuracy.
