Electrical Assembler role at Sanmina.
Job PurposeThis assembler position is an integral part of the electrical/mechanical production team. Primary responsibilities will be interpreting schematics, assembly drawings, and work instructions to complete the wiring on control panels.
Nature Of Duties- Read, interpret and follow assembly drawings, diagrams, and schematics to determine components and assembly sequence.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Perform a wide variety of electronic or electromechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies.
- Follow all quality, environmental, health and safety specifications.
- Prepare all surfaces and components as necessary to ensure no damage occurs during assembly and testing.
- Use hand and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications.
- Strong mechanical aptitude for use of tools in production operations.
- Basic problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Perform a build using a connection list and schematic.
- Explain the criteria for cable drainage/service loops and damaged wire/hardware.
- Position, align, and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly.
- Inspect parts for imperfections and inspect, test and adjust completed units.
- Identify and report any faulty components or hazards during the assembly process.
- Make setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.
- Point to point wiring per work instruction, diagram schematics, short/continuity test, Hipot test, and test assembled parts to ensure functionality.
- Maintain ability to stand for long periods and perform required physical tasks.
- Assist assemblers in performing assembly tasks.
- May assist in electrical work.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a switch gear manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Google Suite, MS Office or equivalent.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings.
- Ability to follow work instructions and procedures.
- Consistent adherence to safety regulations.
- Capable of lifting up to 60 lb occasionally.
- Willing to work overtime as required based on business needs.
This is an ITAR facility and applicant must be a U.S. Citizen or a lawful permanent resident.
