In a team-based environment; the Production Planner will provide a critical link and work closely with Engineering, Program Management, Purchasing and Manufacturing to adequately support all planning activities in a timely manner.

• Performs scheduling functions involved with Managing Work orders, coordinating products and materials movement through the manufacturing processes to completion and on time shipment
• Reviews backlog to determine materials shortages and capacity requirements to provide commitments feedback to customer
• Coordinates the efficient expediting of materials and work in process with purchasing, production and engineering
• Proactively identify areas of potential supply concerns, keeping in mind capacity constraints, shortages and communicates analysis/recommendations to all parties impacted
• Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions related to material planning and production scheduling
• A working knowledge of Kinaxis Rapid Response Advance planning systems is a plus and highly desirable

• BS/AA degree with APICS training, Advance planning system knowledge is a plus
• 2+ years’ experience as a Production Planner or equivalent
• Ideal candidate must have strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent Oracle 11i, MS-Excel, MS-Office and MRP knowledge is a must
• Must be able to communicate in both written and spoken English
