American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring tele strip interpretation skills and a WI or compact RN license.

• Med/Surg Tele unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:00)
• Required to work every other weekend
• May float to IMCU (stepdown) within skill set
• Epic charting system experience preferred

• Active WI or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Tele experience required
• Must be able to interpret and sign off on telemetry strips
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Skills required include IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, peripheral line care, starting and maintaining IVs, cardiac monitoring and emergency response, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response/code teams, isolation precautions/PPE, nasal cannula use, non-invasive airway management, and oxygen administration

• Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Tele unit including respiratory and cardiac monitoring
• Two supervisor references required, with one from the most recent assignment or permanent position
• Travelers may return to this facility only after a minimum 1-year separation
• Travel pairs are accepted
• Facility cannot accommodate travelers with latex allergies
• Local candidates accepted within 50 miles at a reduced rate
• First-time travelers are not considered for this position
