Maintenance Technician II – Pleasant Prairie, WI
As a Maintenance Technician II, you will perform advanced multi‑craft maintenance to ensure the reliability and efficiency of motors, conveyors, and other production equipment.
This is a direct‑hire opportunity on the third shift.
- Starting pay of $31.00–$34.00/hour based on assessment level
- $1.50/hour shift differential
- 401(k) plan
- Third Shift | 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Level 2 candidates are prioritized;
Level 1 candidates may start at a lower pay range with advancement potential based on performance.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of industrial manufacturing or comparable experience
- Experience using shop equipment such as drill presses, band saws, and power tools
Education and Experience
General Requirements:
- Strong mechanical and electrical background
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and CMMS systems
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and OEM manuals
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems
- Capable of mentoring and training junior technicians
- Maintain accurate maintenance records
- Familiarity with electrical testing tools like ohmmeters and voltmeters
- Committed to safety and continuous improvement
- Ability to read and interpret precision measuring devices
- Successful completion of certification testing
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using systematic methods
- Install and align mechanical drive systems
- Complete preventive maintenance and equipment overhauls
- Replace failed parts or components and adjust equipment as needed
- Maintain machinery lubrication requirements
- Recommend changes to processes or procedures based on equipment performance
- Test electrical systems using appropriate instruments
- Install and repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, and fixtures
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities
- Train and mentor junior maintenance technicians
- Stay current with maintenance procedures and technologies
- Complete annual Maintenance Skills Assessment and training requirements
- Report all accidents, incidents, injuries, and unsafe acts immediately
- Follow all prescribed safety and environmental procedures
