Senior Accountant

We are partnering with our client for a Senior Accountant. You will be responsible for operational accounting, controls, and GL account reconciliations, supporting the Finance team. This position is hybrid 3 days in office. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $90,000 to $110,000 per year.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a subject matter expert for GL account reconciliations and daily operational transactions.
• Prepare specialized reports and analyses, develop accounting procedures and controls, and re-engineer business processes.
• Provide leadership and assistance to less experienced accounting staff.
• Perform complex tasks requiring advanced knowledge and competency in accounting principles and practices.
• Utilize critical thinking, discretion, and judgment on varied and difficult assignments.
• Build effective relationships and credibility across the organization to meet the changing needs of the department.

Requirements:

• Self-starter with effective problem-solving skills to identify and correct financial discrepancies.
• Strong understanding and hands-on experience with GAAP, Accounting Codification Standards, and internal controls.
• Working knowledge of general ledger, reconciliation, and cash disbursement platforms.
• Strong analytical skills to extract and synthesize complex findings.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient in PC skills (Word, Project, PowerPoint, Access, etc.); advanced Excel skills.
• Proficient in SQL (Snowflake, SQL Server, etc.

Requirements:

• Experience in advancing reconciliation controls, processes, and efficiencies.
• Bachelor's Degree in accounting.
• 7+ years of accounting experience in internal/external audit, operational accounting, or internal controls.
