Entry Level Electrical Engineer

Kano Consultants provides consulting services to the electric power industry. We provide engineering assessments, design, construction/maintenance support, and data analytics for departments that includes power generation, substation, transmission, and distribution.

Job Description Summary

We are looking for a part-time Entry Level Electrical Engineer which may lead to a full-time position depending on performance and company needs. The person will work closely with other electrical engineers to support assessments of power equipment such as distribution and transmission power transformers, power circuit breakers, electric generators, and station battery systems.

• electrical drawing review and updates
• short circuit studies, power flows and voltage drop studies
• review of industry standards and requirements
• review of maintenance test reports
• Graduate or soon to graduate from an accredited university with B.S. in any Engineering discipline
• Electrical engineering degree with emphasis in power systems preferred
• Master's degree is desired
• 0-5 years of work experience

Skills

• Strong knowledge of MS products:
  Excel and Word

Location

• 75% of this job can be done remotely but 25% will require commuting to the office in Pleasanton or a client facility in Northern California
