Senior level estimator will read plans, develop bids, negotiate budgets, and track actual costs.

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and proposals; complete checklists and spreadsheets.
• Review takeoff process with Jr Estimator; ensure project checklists are created.
• Compile counts/quantities to create bills of material (BOM) as part of the RFQ process.
• Enter counts/quantities into estimating software.
• Review RFQs from material vendors and subcontractors for scope discrepancies and accuracies.
• Manage subcontractor outreach and engage in good‑faith efforts.
• Represent Royal Electric in meetings with vendors, general contractors, owners, and subcontractors.
• Respond to RFIs from Jr Estimator.
• Prepare and organize bid packages.
• File manage the entire estimation and bid process.
• Assist with final bid review.
• Own the hand‑off to project management after award; attend project kick‑off meetings as needed.
• Coach Jr Estimators to achieve key results.
• Complete miscellaneous projects as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; 3+ years related experience or equivalent.
• Experience with commercial/residential projects.
• Experience bidding public works projects.
• Read and understand construction plans and specs.
• Understand construction process and fast‑paced environment; meet deadlines.
• Complete estimates from start to finish.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Delegate tasks to a team effectively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and estimating software such as Accubid and Onscreen Takeoff. and externally.
• Detail‑oriented,
