We are seeking a Field Evaluation Engineer to join our team in Sunol, California. This position offers an opportunity to work directly with experienced engineering professionals, perform hands‑on evaluations of electrical equipment, and contribute to a growing technical services organization.

The Field Evaluation Engineer will be responsible for conducting electrical product safety evaluations, field inspections, and field labeling assessments of industrial, commercial, and specialized electrical equipment.

The ideal candidate has a strong electrical engineering foundation and familiarity with electrical safety standards. Experience with field evaluations, product certification, or regulatory compliance is highly desirable.

The selected candidate will receive training in ITC’s evaluation procedures and methodologies, with the expectation of progressing toward independently managing field evaluations and customer assignments.

• Conduct on‑site electrical safety evaluations of industrial, commercial, and specialized electrical equipment.
• Evaluate equipment for compliance with applicable UL, NFPA, ANSI, CSA, and other relevant electrical safety standards.
• Perform inspections, testing, and technical assessments to identify potential electrical safety hazards and nonconformities.
• Review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment specifications, and technical documentation.
• Assess equipment construction, grounding, overcurrent protection, wiring methods, component suitability, and other safety‑related features.
• Support field labeling activities and document equipment compliance with applicable requirements.

• Prepare accurate and comprehensive field evaluation reports documenting inspection findings, test results, and corrective actions.
• Communicate technical deficiencies and recommended corrective measures to customers.
• Maintain organized records of evaluations, inspection results, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure evaluations and reports are completed in accordance with ITC’s quality and technical procedures.

• Serve as a technical point of contact during assigned field evaluations.
• Coordinate site visits, inspections, and project deliverables with customers.
• Provide clear, professional explanations of technical findings and compliance requirements.
• Manage assigned evaluations independently following completion of training.
