Our client, a small growing business in the transportation industry, is searching for a Full Charge Bookkeeper. Ideal professional will have strong Accounting background and should be able to supervise 2 staff members while completing Month End Close, GL Reconciliation, Manage Cash and Bank Account transactions daily, oversee Payroll, AP and AR as well as work with Outside CPA for Quarterly and Annual Tax filings.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $75,000 to $95,000 per year.

Job Description:
  • Preparing, reviewing, and uploading monthly journal entries for month-end close
  • Managing bank and general ledger reconciliations
  • Prepare custom financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
  • Create, implement, and manage annual budgets
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards (i.e. GAAP, FASB), rules, regulations, and systems of internal control
  • Presenting financial data to leaders in an understandable and useful manner
  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
Experience:
  • 4-5 years of accounting/finance experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Intermediate to advanced skill level using Quick Books
  • Demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office Suite software
  • Prior experience with payroll processing
  • Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus
