Anesthesia Technician - Part Time - 12's

Role Summary

Anesthesia Technician – Part Time – 12's. Evening 12 Hour shift, located at Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley. Working under the direction of the Operating Room Charge Nurse, assisting the Anesthesiologist with patient care during procedures and managing anesthesia supplies and equipment.

• At the start of shift, review the daily maintenance of anesthesia supplies and equipment to ensure proper working condition.
• Support Anesthesiologists when requested in Cath Lab, Labor & Delivery, and ER, ensuring supplies and equipment are available and in working order.
• Evening Tech will support evening crew, restock anesthesia carts and prepare OR suites for the next day.
• Set up, clean, and turnover anesthesia machines and carts for each procedure, and maintain related recordkeeping.
• Collaborate with Materials Manager and medical supply to guarantee ordering of all anesthesia supplies and equipment.
• Perform all duties in accordance with the C‑I‑CARE Standards of the Hospital.

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)

• Less than 6 months operating room experience (Required)
• Anesthesia Technician certification (Preferred)

• Good communication skills; ability to read, write and understand English.
• Ability to work as a valued team member.
• Problem identification and resolution skills.
• Effective organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledgeable about current practice and compliance requirements within the job role and specialty.
• Strong computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Basic knowledge of surgical settings/environment.

• Current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (Required)

Base Pay Scale:
Generally starting at $35.02 - $45.32 per hour.
