Overview
BEPC is seeking a System Support Engineer for on-site work in Pleasanton, CA. This is a W2 contract – 6 months with possible extensions. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Pay rate: $52.53 - $62.53 per hour, determined based on experience. Work model:
Onsite role.
- Prioritize daily work activities based on a frequently updated Liat task list.
- Ship Liats for depot repair service and receive returned Liats for placement back in the labs.
- Induct new Liats in the equipment management system.
- Execute equipment qualifications and initiate review/approval workflow in the electronic document management system (EDMS).
- Add or update labeling on the Liats to reflect current status (e.g., GxP vs non-GxP).
- Document all activities accurately and promptly in the equipment management system according to approved procedures.
- Attend daily huddle meetings to provide updates on assignments.
- Provide timely and professional customer support.
- Establish collaborative internal customer relationships with proactive communication.
- Comply with lab safety policies, practices, and procedures at all times.
- Coordinate with Lab Supervisor team members for support with lab compliance and best practice workflows.
- Education:
BS Degree in a related field. - 1–2 years of relevant work experience with basic knowledge of instrument support.
- Demonstrated proficiency to learn new skills and software tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions with a cooperative, “can do” attitude.
- Proactive communication of work status and prompt escalation of issues.
- Flexibility with changing work priorities and strong work ethics and communication skills.
- 1+ years of experience in the medical device industry, preferably with hands-on experience in medical instrument maintenance.
- Basic understanding of molecular diagnostics products.
- Working knowledge of hand tools and medical device equipment.
- Knowledge of Quality System Requirements (QSR), In Vitro Diagnostics Directive (IVDD) requirements, and customer service concepts.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer relation skills.
