Senior Cloud Dev Ops (Oracle)

Join Oracle’s Analytics Data Intelligence Cloud Service to manage Critical Cloud Infrastructure deployments, Region Build Outs, Security Operations, and monitoring of Data Intelligence Service applications across Commercial, DRCC, and critical Government Cloud environments.

In this role, you will ensure the smooth operation of critical cloud infrastructure, oversee incident management, automate deployment across multiple production and pre‑production environments, and collaborate with development and operations teams to improve overall service efficiency, speed up deployments, and guarantee reliability of Oracle Analytics Applications. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and available for 24x7 on‑call rotations supporting U.S. Government and Commercial Cloud deployments.

• Develop and maintain automated tools and systems to streamline operations and reduce manual intervention.
• Deploy infrastructure as code (IaC) for provisioning and configuration.
• Perform root cause analysis on defects and outages to prevent recurrences.
• Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and ensure systems run efficiently.
• Maintain security measures to protect against threats and ensure compliance.
• Write scripts and configurations to automate tasks such as building and deploying software.
• Ensure system scalability, security, and high availability.
• Test and implement disaster recovery plans to handle major outages.
• Detect potential issues before major incidents occur and establish alert systems.
• Manage safe and reliable infrastructure changes.
• Champion continuous improvement and innovation within the Dev Ops team.
• Identify bottlenecks and optimize workflows to improve customer experience.
• Create custom Analytics reports for reporting focus and resilience metrics.
• Measure customer experience and KPIs to improve overall resiliency.
• Document security practices, procedures, and incidents comprehensively.
• Create security controls to mitigate identified risks.
• Automate security processes and integrate security tools with pipelines.
• Proactively monitor build and deployment, troubleshoot issues, and resolve errors.
• Automate tasks and processes within the software development lifecycle (CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure management).
• Support Oracle Analytics Applications on OCI using Cloud Dev Ops methodologies:
• Incident management: analyze T2 metrics, alarms, and Lumberjack logs; troubleshoot, repair, and document issues.
• Start/stop/upgrade cloud infrastructure and services using OCI tools.
• Participate in 24x7 technical support offering customer assistance for the Oracle Analytics Data Intelligence service.
• Continuously improve existing Oracle Analytics Apps cloud capabilities and tools, focusing on OCI tools, processes, and configuration.
• Perform daily tasks in compliance with process, regulatory, and standard requirements.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent with a consistently good academic record.
• 4+ years of experience with cloud platforms, cloud services, and Docker container-based applications.
• Hands‑on knowledge of cloud platform configuration, operations, tools, and processes.
• Linux/Unix system administration, including scripting and system-level knowledge on cloud platforms.
• Production application deployments across multiple pre–production and production environments on Oracle Cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP compute, storage, and network operations.
• Knowledge of internet networking services (DNS, HTTP, etc.).
• Technical documentation of procedures and configurations.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, shell, Bash) for task automation.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines focusing on continuous integration and deployment.
• Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, docker‑compose).
• Assisting with system troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• Oracle database experience; strong query writing and database management skills preferred.
