Technical Project Manager

The Milestone IT Project Manager possesses experience planning and managing IT infrastructure operations and projects, primarily with VMware, Windows Servers, Active Directory services, Microsoft Azure services, Windows and MacOS endpoints, and mobile devices. This role works closely with networking, computing, storage, end user support, and security engineering to upgrade and enhance the stability, reliability, and performance of the production and corporate IT environments.

• Project Management - Work closely with leadership, technical teams, and other resources to plan, scope, and deliver multiple projects on budget and on schedule
• Manage all aspects and phases of IT projects: technical resources, schedule, milestones, budgets, resource assignments, project communications, reporting, etc.
• Identify requirements needed from external and cross-functional teams
• Document, evaluate, and manage project risks, issues, and changes
• Effectively coordinate the resources and schedules across projects with competing priorities
• Expert at defining what “done” is and helping the teams to achieve this
• Lead standups, team meetings, lessons learned and other meetings
• Ability to help engineers translate business requirements into IT deliverables
• Prepare reports, status, and project artifacts
• Operational Support
• Manage and help resolve escalated issues and requests
• Participate in major incident management process
• Identify and help implement process improvements
• Assist with audits, security reviews, and compliance initiatives

• Migration of servers and services to cloud hosted and SaaS applications
• Implementation of OS hardening standards
• Consolidation of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions
• Consolidation of AD domains
• Automation of OS patching and application updates
• Enhancements to Jamf and Intune for improved device management
• Implementation of a server and service monitoring solution
• Implementation of a privileged identity management solution
• Implementation of an endpoint performance / experience solution
• Upgradation of Windows 10 to Windows 11

• Extensive experience managing IT operations and projects in an enterprise environment
• Experience working with Network, Server, Storage, and Security Engineering resource
• Strong Project Management skills ‘ highly organized, excellent communicator, good at planning and scheduling, stay on top of risks, clearly understands project objectives and critical path
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines in parallel
• Experience working with various stakeholders, IT leaders, and executives

• Experience using Smartsheet to plan, track, and report project progress
