- The EDM Operator Perform a wide variety of tasks and processes that are required to build, assemble, inspect, and package products in a controlled manufacturing environment using microscopes and small-hand tools.
- Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, Peridots Quality Manual, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and other company standards.
- Main responsibilities including but not limited to:
Operation of machinery, including but not limited to EDM wire & drill machines. Assembly & inspection of small parts under a microscope. Deburring, grinding, sanding, of parts.
- Experience operating EDM machines would be ideal.
- Experience with production of medical devices.
- Prior experience in manufacturing, preferably in the production of medical devices.
- Assembly & inspection of small components under a microscope.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Good manual dexterity skills
- The ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English
- Ability to read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, specifications, simple instructions, short correspondence, company policies and memos
- Must be able to perform repetitive job tasks.
- Ability to read & interpret assembly drawings/build per print a plus
- Must desire working in a team environment
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups situations to other employees of the organization. Ability to effective present information and respond to questions form groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variable in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
