Capital Sales Account Executive

As a Capital Sales Account Executive
, you will lead business growth across a dynamic multi-state territory (Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Iowa). Your day will be a blend of strategic planning, customer engagement, and hands‑on sales execution. You’ll drive annual sales targets by presenting Core Lab diagnostics systems and instruments to hospitals, reference laboratories, clinics, and government accounts. Acting as the go‑to expert for both product and market knowledge, you’ll support Account Managers, deliver impactful product demonstrations, and build lasting relationships with key decision‑makers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Works closely with territory Account Managers to ensure revenue growth.
  • Achieve instrument sales growth targets and instrument placement goals for assigned territory.
  • Provide full product information on all assigned Bio‑Rad diagnostics instruments to customers through product demonstrations and sales presentations to high‑level executives.
  • Maintain information and knowledge of competitors and their products.
  • Develop, qualify and follow through on sales leads from Account Managers, Sales Managers, Marketing Personnel, Field Service personnel, etc.
Required Qualifications
  • Education:

    Bachelor of Science in a life science, technical related discipline or equivalent is preferred.
  • Work Experience:

    5+ years successful sales experience selling capital equipment to hospitals, reference laboratories, clinics and physicians’ offices.
  • Strong planning and organization skills.
  • Proven ability to skillfully present to high‑level laboratory/hospital executives.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information. Financial, legal, and common sense acumen in negotiating large contracts is preferred.
  • Proven ability for field travel in assigned territory and capability for 50% overnight travel.

Compensation

The estimated base salary range for this position is $94,100 to $129,400 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job‑permitted factors. This position is also eligible for quarterly commission based on assigned sales quotas.
