Set Objectives/Goals
- Plan, organize, direct and control your sales staff to meet these objectives.
- Use these to help your salespeople maximize their potential.
- At the beginning of each week, meet/counsel with each salesperson to establish realistic sales objectives for the week and action plan.
- Manage salesperson to make sure established a sales objectives for the department are met.
- Achieve forecasted sales by following (and, if necessary, adjusting) your written plan of action.
- Monitor each salesperson's daily/weekly performance to make sure there are held accountable to their production numbers.
- Interact daily and meet weekly with salesperson.
- Offer them the coaching, counseling, advice, support, motivation or information they need in order to help them meet their sales objectives.
- Keeping face-to-face contact with your sales people and assisting on their development and training.
Supervise the day to day sales activity
- Make sure your salespeople are doing everything they should be doing to successfully sell our services.
- Ensure that the sales team operations functions smoothly.
- Recruiting, hiring and training your people.
- Developing the most well trained, professional sales force possible.
Handle complaints from customer, sales agents
- Constructively handle (or supervise the handling of) customer complaints related to your team.
Conduct sales meetings
- Prepare in advance and conduct regular sales meetings.
- Review the performance of your salespeople and to motivate and stimulate them to even greater achievements.
- Constantly strive toward continuing professional growth.
- Work to improve your sales skills, managerial skills, business skills and industry knowledge.
Involve in customer follow up
- Supervise the proper use of Customer Documentation in our CRM (i.e. meeting lunches, or any other customer interaction) by each salesperson into our CRM (Bullhorn).
- Also review the documentation for trends that indicate where additional assistance might be needed.
Assist salesperson in the selling cycle
- Motivate and Assist your salespeople in selling by stimulating cold calling blitzes.
- Assist them in the selling process whenever needed (i.e. join them on customer meetings, help cold call, and help close business).
Job specification of sales manager job description
- 3-5 years of experience in sales management.
- Experience with enterprise customers and large, complex organizations.
- Extensive experience in all aspects of Staffing.
- Proven track record in managing and directing a highly skilled, motivated, successful and results-oriented sales force
- Strong leadership qualities with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
- Willingness to travel and work as a team.
- Proven leadership and ability to drive sales teams.
- Able to operate in a fast-paced and changing market environment
