* We are looking for a Benefits Analyst to support union Laborers and their families through accurate benefits administration and responsive service. This is a contract position is based in Pleasanton, California, and focuses on benefit eligibility questions, benefit-related issues and managing benefit medical claims, with precision and care. The ideal candidate brings benefits claims processing experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, service-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

- Manage the day-to-day administration of union benefit programs, including health and welfare coverage, while following plan rules and regulatory requirements.

- Review and process benefits claims in a high-volume setting with close attention to accuracy, timeliness, and compliance standards.

- Address questions and written requests from members, dependents, providers, and partner organizations in a thorough and service-focused manner.

- Work with healthcare networks, vendors, and internal teams to investigate claim discrepancies and resolve benefit issues efficiently.

- Maintain and update eligibility records across applicable systems to ensure member information remains current and accurate.

- Support participants with benefit concerns, coverage questions, and enrollment-related matters, providing clear guidance and timely follow-up.

- Prepare routine and ad hoc reports and keep thorough documentation related to claims activity, eligibility updates, and member communications.

- Handle administrative and legal information requests, including subpoena-related responses, in accordance with established procedures and confidentiality requirements.

Requirements

- At least 2 years of experience in benefit claims processing combined with customer service responsibilities.

- Spanish-English bilingual ability is required.

- Hands-on experience with Bene Sys Benefit Driven or a comparable claims administration platform.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with members, coworkers, providers, and cross-functional teams.

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, stay organized, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Detail-oriented and analytical approach with a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.
